April 23 is the International Day of the English Language, timed to the birthday and death of V. Shakespeare, an outstanding English playwright who is a national symbol of England. Shakespeare is considered one of the founders of the literary English language. Today is the 460th anniversary of the birth of a world-class genius. His plays are still included in the repertoire of the world’s leading theaters, and the recitation of sonnets and excerpts from his works during “Shakespeare Days” has become a good tradition among students of various specialties.
During these days, the Department of Foreign Languages of our University held a week honoring the work of Shakespeare and a week of the English language.
